Jane Houseal is a storyteller with a love for making complicated information more accessible.


Jane (she/they) is a recent graduate from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned degrees in Reporting and Strategic Communication, and a certificate in Gender and Women's Studies.

Currently, Jane is the 2024 Wisconsin Election Correspondent for Teen Vogue, where she covers politics from a youth perspective, focusing on social justice movements and the people behind them. She is also a Podcast Editorial Partner at Spotify. Previously, she served as the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator at Sex Out Loud, UW-Madison's peer-to-peer sexual health resource. Jane also interned at local newspaper Isthmus, Brava Magazine and McPherson Strategies, and was the Fashion Editor for Moda Magazine.
