Jane Houseal is a storyteller with a love for making complicated information more accessible.


Jane (she/they) is a recent graduate from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They earned degrees in Reporting and Strategic Communication, and a certificate in Gender and Women's Studies.

Currently, Jane is an editorial intern and fact-checker with In The Times. Earlier this year, she wrapped her role as a 2024 Wisconsin Election Correspondent for Teen Vogue, where she covered politics from a youth perspective, focusing on social justice movements and the people behind them. Previously, Jane worked as a Podcast Editorial Partner at Spotify and the Marketing and Outreach Coordinator at Sex Out Loud, UW-Madison's peer-to-peer sexual health resource.
